Honoring the life of Dante Austin Hayden
Father. Son. Brother. Friend.
The Shoot for the Stars Foundation was established in 2021 in honor of Dante Austin Hayden, enabled by the generous gifts of the many people who cared deeply about him.
We currently fund the largest senior scholarship at Jonathan Law High School, and plan to for years to come.
The Tournament
With his family of friends, there was nothing Dante loved more than playing ball. Whether softball, soccer, or (especially) basketball, “Shooter” was always game, and often ridiculous, because laughing and having fun is the whole point of play. In that spirit we are sponsoring a 3x3 basketball tournament on October 8, 2022 at Fowler Courts & Rotary Pavilion as a fundraiser for the scholarship.
The Scholarship
Dante was happiest working with students at Law. In his honor, his family and friends have established an annual $2000 scholarship for a JLHS senior who has overcome adversity to succeed, with plans to do more for the school in his name.
